Although her acting career was well, the breakthrough was not able to come to her until she was spotted in the CW show The Vampire Diaries. The Vampire Diaries helped make her immediately a popular word. Candice King received praise for her amazing acting abilities and performance. The same character was played by her in all eight seasons, that ran for 171 episodes. Her role as a regular was portrayed on The Originals, a spin-off in 2018, and Legacies, a 2021 series.
